Podcast: Setting the Record Straight
Topics:

This episode is from a recent sermon Christ Covenant Church of Sweeny, TX where we will took a look at Psalm 23 and discuss being shepherded by our Lord daily and the uniqueness of our Lord’s calling on us as individuals first and foremost. Surprise, the 23rd Psalm is not a funeral passage, but one for Christian living.
All too often the focus of many local gatherings is the call of God as only applied to the local gathering or a pseudo call for all Christians that ends with no actual response or action from anyone but rather apathy and complacency. The 23rd Psalm is one of calling, conviction, confidence and celebration. Join us we strive together to grow to maturity as the body of Christ.

Psalm 23 (ESV)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He
makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He
restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for
you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You
prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head
with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
